Each year my family along with many other Sino-Khmer Krom families celebrate New Year not only once but twice.
First we welcome Chinese New Year.
Three months later we'll celebrate Cambodian New Year on April 14th.
Some members of my family in America also celebrate American New Year on Jan 1st.
Khmer Krom likes to cook certain tradition foods for offerings on New Year, and on several religious holidays because we believe that it will bring good luck and harmony.
